Consumer units
The consumer unit is the single most important part of any electrical installation. This is where the essential over-current detection and protective devices are located, so that in the event of a fault occurring, the power is disconnected from the problem circuit in milliseconds, thus protecting from the risk of fire, or electrocution.
However, for this to work effectively, keep you and your property safe, and protect against nuisance tripping, it is essential that a fully functional and up to date consumer unit is fitted to your premises.
T J Electrical have over 10 years’ experience working with and installing consumer units in both domestic and commercial premises. All the work carried out by T J Electrical conforms to current BS7671 18th edition regulation standards.
Once the job is completed and tested for compliance, T J Electrical will issue a full installation certificate including a Part P notification.
